Traditional Prime Rib Au Jus
Ingredients:
- 1 prime rib roast
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 beef boullion
- 1 cup water
Directions:
To create a traditional prime rib au jus, preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Season the prime rib roast with salt and pepper. Place the seasoned prime rib roast into the oven for 2-3 hours or about 20 minutes per pound. Meanwhile in a saucepan heat the onion, garlic, parsley, sugar, beef boulloin and water. Slice the prime rib roast into 1-2 inch steak slices and serve with the homemade sauce.
Chili Boneless Prime Rib Roast
Ingredients:
- 1 boneless prime rib roast
- 1/4 cup wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 small onions chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp parsley
Directions:
In a shallow dish, combine the wine vinegar, olive oil, chili powder, garlic, onions, salt, pepper, basil and parsley. Place the boneless prime rib roast into the marinade and turn occasionally for 2-6 hours. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Roast the boneless prime rib roast in the oven for 2-3 hours or about 20 minutes per pound. Serve the boneless prime rib roast with au gratin potatoes.
Oriental Style Prime Rib Roast

Ingredients:
- 1 prime rib roast
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup teriaki sauce
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/4 cup rice wine
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 green onions chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together the sesame seeds, teriaki sauce, garlic, rice wine, lemon juice, olive oil, green onions, salt and pepper. Put the prime rib roast into the oriental marinade and allow the roast to marinade for 1 day. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the prime rib roast on a roasting pan and into the oven for 50-60 minutes or until done. Slice the roast into 1-2 inch thick steaks and serve with rice and steamed vegetables - a great Chinese recipe.
