Sherry Prime Rib Marinade
Ingredients:
- 1 prime rib roast
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup sherry
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Directions:
In a large bowl, create the prime rib marinade by combining the soy sauce, sherry, garlic, ginger, thyme, parsley, salt and pepper. Place the roast into the prime rib marinade and allow to set for 2-4 hours. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the prime rib roast into the oven for 1-1.5 hours. Slice the prime rib roast into steaks.
Red Wine Prime Rib Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 prime rib roast
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 6 slices bacon
- 2 tbsp red wine
- 6 mushroom caps
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tbsp flour
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Season the prime rib with the garlic powder, salt, pepper and parsley. Put the bacon slices on top of the prime rib and place the prime rib into the oven for 45-60 minutes or until done. Meanwhile, create the prime rib sauce by heating the butter in a saucepan and sauteing the mushrooms. Add the red wine into the mushrooms and thicken with the flour. Pour the prime rib sauce over the prime rib and slice to serve.
Traditional Prime Rib Au Jus
Ingredients:
- 1 prime rib roast
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 beef boullion
- 1 cup water
Directions:
To create a traditional prime rib au jus, preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Season the prime rib roast with salt and pepper. Place the seasoned prime rib roast into the oven for 2-3 hours or about 20 minutes per pound. Meanwhile in a saucepan heat the onion, garlic, parsley, sugar, beef boulloin and water. Slice the prime rib roast into 1-2 inch steak slices and serve with the homemade sauce.
